Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis: choosing a regimen, ensuring that the dose is correct, managing adverse events and dealing with contacts
Clinical
Registration for this session is additional to the congress registration fee and is €99 standard and €110 on site.
Aims : to help participants 1) understand laboratory drug susceptibility test results and what they mean, 2) apply the ATS/CDC/ERS/IDSA guidelines when choosing a regimen, 3) recognise which adverse effects might be attributable to which drug in a multicomponent regimen and how to manage them and 4) balance the relative risks and benefits of preventive treatment based on evidence from the literature.
