Aims : to understand compassion fatigue and burnout, including their similarities and differences; to define and compare these conditions and to explore specific triggers; to make participants aware of key signs and symptoms and how to manage stressors and their consequences; to highlight physical, emotional/mental and behavioural symptoms; to describe strategies for management and prevention, including mindfulness training and behaviours that can help reduce the frequency of fatigue and prevent burnout; to introduce theories that will assist the translation of conceptual understanding to the workplace and personal change; to provide participants with the opportunity to create their own individualised management and prevention plan. Additionally, theories will be introduced that will help translate conceptual understanding to actual workplace and personal change. Finally, participants will have an opportunity to create their own individualized management and prevention plan
