Aims : Chronic cough is a troublesome symptom in many airways diseases including COPD, asthma and IPF and is associated with adverse outcomes and has a negative impact on quality of life. The pathogenesis of chronic cough is not well understood and treatment options are limited. The aim of this session is raise awareness of the importance of chronic cough, to demonstrate the importance of promoting good management strategies, appreciate the need to develop new effective treatments and to consider the educational and support needs of patients with chronic cough.
