Respiratory manifestations of gastrointestinal diseases
Clinical
Aims : To describe the respiratory manifestations of upper and lower gastrointestinal diseases, in particular, gastrointestinal reflux and inflammatory bowel disease. The main respiratory manifestations, including upper airway involvement, are COPD, bronchial asthma, cystic and non-cystic bronchiectasis, obstructive sleep apnoea, lung parenchyma like that seen in IPF, and aspiration pneumonitis. These will be discussed.
