Aims : The symposium aims are (1) to inform the audience about the progress that the Global Lung Function Initiative Taskforce has made so far in terms of developing reference values for spirometry, DLCO, and TLC; (2) to evaluate the process and identify the problems that are expected to arise when implementing these new values; and (3) to explain the need for a data repository.
