A joint ERS/ESSD session
Aims : The recent ERS International Congress in London (September 2016) has seen the beginning of a collaboration between ERS and the European Society for Swallowing Disorders (ESSD) based on the importance (incidence and prevalence) of often unrecognised swallowing disorders in respiratory diseases. A collaboration between the two societies (ERS and ESSD) should help to develop programmes for all patients affected by both swallowing and respiratory disorders.
