Physiology and pathophysiology of respiratory sounds
Aims : This session will present the results from the ERS Task Force on respiratory sounds. The aims of this session are to: describe the physiology and pathophysiology of respiratory sounds; review the current recommendations regarding lung sound nomenclature; examine the challenges that hamper the achievement of observer agreement on lung sounds; and describe the options for objective acoustical analysis of lung sounds.
