EW7 Educational skills workshop
Cardiorespiratory monitoring in critically-ill patients (€85)
Clinical
Linked to the postgraduate course.
Registration for this workshop is additional to the congress registration fee and is €85.
Aims : A crucial skill for clinicians is to monitor patients in the ICU and other areas where the critically ill or unstable patient may be found (the operating theatre, post-operative care unit, and emergency department). This session will review the basic principles and current technology of critical care monitoring, with a special focus on cardio-pulmonary monitoring. With this course, we hope that clinicians will better understand the fundamental physiological and theoretical principles of monitoring, thereby enhancing their ability to use clinical data and recognise where errors may occur. This course is taught at the “virtual bedside” by using small groups and case-based scenarios.
