Healthy Lungs for Life (HLfL)
Aims : The first speaker will describe how to approach smoker pulmonary patients to help them quit; how to use smoking cessation interventions in smokers with pulmonary disorders; and how to assess and use smoking cessation interventions in smokers who find it difficult to quit. The second speaker will describe which smoking cessation interventions are effective and safe, and the cost-effectiveness of these interventions. The third speaker will discuss the conclusions of the most recent RCTs on the efficacy and safety of using the nicotine vaccine to induce smoking cessation. The fourth speaker will describe the clinical studies on the efficacy and safety of using e-cigarettes to induce smoking cessation and the health concerns regarding these devices.
