To understand the effect of exercise on bronchial epithelial cells and on airway responsiveness in healthy subjects; the ability of exercise training to attenuate airway responsiveness; the possibility that a sedentary lifestyle is a potential risk factor for the development of airways hyper-responsiveness; and the effect of exercise training in asthmatic subjects.
