Aims : This session will provide an update on the useful non-pharmacological and pharmacological strategies for preventing acute exacerbations of COPD (AECOPD); describe the complex consequences of AEs; detail how current interventions can be adapted to meet the needs of patients following an AECOPD; and discuss the application of distance interventions and the role of modern technology in post-AE care.
