Short functional testing in chronic lung disease

Aims : To provide participants with the skills and background knowledge on if, when, why and how to perform simple short functional tests according to best practice and in accordance with the latest recommendations; To present short functional tests that could be used to assess upper and lower limb muscle function and functional performance in people with chronic lung disease across a wide range of settings, providing important prognostic and clinically relevant information; to provide participants with the skills and background knowledge on how to differentiate between the use of different functional tests based on the aim of the measurement and to acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge required to perform and interpret the tests.
